DeutschMobil

Parler des langues étrangères est devenu de plus en plus important : l'anglais est aujourd'hui réputé comme indispensable pour la vie professionnelle, et apprendre une deuxième langue vivante est conseillé. Dans les collèges français, ce sont surtout l'anglais et l'espagnol qui sont le plus choisis. Mais qu'en est-il de l'allemand ? Comme l'allemand a l'air d’être une langue difficile, surtout avec sa grammaire et sa prononciation, deux fois plus d'élèves préfèrent apprendre l'espagnol plutôt que l’allemand.
Pour donner envie d'apprendre la langue de Goethe et de transmettre une image plus moderne de ce pays voisin, on a lancé en 2000 l’action  "DeutschMobil". L’idée : des jeunes animateurs allemands sillonnent avec un van 10 régions de France, rendent visite aux écoles primaires et aux collèges. En s'adressant aux élèves de la CP/CE1, CM2  ou 5ième qui peuvent choisir une langue étrangère, l’animateur de « DeutschMobil » essaie de transmettre une image joyeuse et captivante de l’allemand. Un dispositif similaire existe aussi en Allemagne, 12 « FranceMobil »promeuvent le Français auprès des élèves allemands. Depuis sa fondation, le programme « DeutschMobil » a connu un grand succès, on compte jusqu'au 50 % d'inscriptions supplémentaires en allemand LV2 et 25 % d’inscriptions supplémentaires en allemand LV1 après le passage du « DeutschMobil ».

La présence d’un animateur « DeutschMobil » en Normandie est possible grâce au soutien financier de la Robert Bosch Stiftung, à la mise à disposition d’un van par Mercedes-Benz et grâce aux plusieurs partenaires comme le Conseil Général du Calvados, Arte, l’OFAJ (Office Franco-Allemande de la Jeunesse), le DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst), Hueber, Larrousse etc.
Basée à Caen, l’animatrice de l’année scolaire 2008/2009, Susanna Dickmeis, intervenait le 9 juin 2009 auprès de la classe CM2 de l'école primaire "Joliot-Curie I" à St. Etienne du Rouvray.  Après un jeu de présentation, l’animatrice expliquait aux 23 élèves l'importance de parler allemand : c'est la langue maternelle la plus parlée en Europe, pas seulement en Allemagne, mais aussi en Autriche et en Suisse. Un Européen sur cinq parle donc allemand. Susanna Dickmeis expliquait la prononciation allemande et la comparait avec l'anglais : beaucoup de mots se ressemblent comme "Fish" et "Fisch", "winter" et "Winter" ou "finger" et "Finger". Ensuite, elle donnait la parole aux petits Stéphanois pour évaluer leurs acquis sur la culture allemande. On parle de Michael Ballack, d'Adidas, du Bayern München, de BMW, de Volkswagen ou du chocolat "Kinder". Quelques-uns savent déjà compter jusqu'à dix, d'autres connaissent les couleurs en allemand.
De plus, les enfants pouvaient reconnaître dans les jeux "Dessine-moi un mot" d'autres mots allemands qui sont similaires en français comme "Elefant", "Rose", "Giraffe", "Pizza", "Tasse", "Gitarre" ou "Bus".

Depuis Septembre 2008, Susanna Dickmeis rend visite aux écoles primaires et collèges en Basse- et en Haute-Normandie. Son engagement germanophone en France n'est pas un hasard : comme elle avait toujours eu un vif intérêt pour ce pays voisin, le lectorat « DeutschMobil » lui permet de rester en lien avec la France. Dans le cadre de ses études en communication interculturelle à Sarrebruck, Susanna Dickmeis a passé une année à Aix-en-Provence en tant que boursière du programme Erasmus. Elle y a rencontré par hasard l’animatrice du  »DeutschMobil » de la région PACA (Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur). Après ses études, elle a postulé pour devenir l’animatrice du « DeutschMobil » de Caen. « Je veux montrer qu’on peut s’amuser en apprenant une langue, que l’allemand n’est pas aussi difficile qu’on le dit, au contraire : l’allemand est assez logique et représente une bonne base pour l’apprentissage des autres langues comme par exemple l’anglais" explique-t-elle. « Dans l’avenir j’aimerais continuer à travailler dans le domaine des relations franco-allemandes ».
A l'école primaire de St. Etienne du Rouvray, l’animatrice finit son intervention en parlant d'une tradition allemande. Elle présente la "Schultüte" (cornet d'école), un cornet en papier-carton rempli de sucreries quels les enfants reçoivent le jour de leur première rentrée à l'école primaire. Avant de partir, elle chante un petit rap allemand avec les petits Stéphanois qui participent vivement et engagés.
